New feature: Consent tracking
We are happy to launch a new feature which will be part of our saas-based consent & preference management solution, consent tracking by using UTM.
We now offer consent tracking, which gives you insight into which campaign, channel, and even content drives the most signups.

UTM stands for Urchin Tracking Module. It’s a tool used in digital marketing to track the performance of online campaigns. By adding UTM parameters to the end of a URL, marketers can gather detailed insights about the traffic coming to their website. Here are the five main UTM parameters:
- Source: Identifies where the traffic is coming from (e.g., Facebook, Google).
- Medium: Specifies the medium used (e.g., email, social, CPC).
- Campaign: Names the specific campaign (e.g., Campaign Lung journal).
- Term: Tracks the keywords for paid campaigns.
- Content: Differentiates similar content or links within the same ad (useful for A/B testing).
An example how to use UTM for consent tracking
A pharmaceutical company is launching a new medication and wants to track the effectiveness of its digital marketing campaigns targeting HCPs e.g. the effectiveness of channels, content in collecting consent. They use various channels like emails, social media, and webinars to reach out to HCPs.
How It Works:
- Tracking: By using these UTM parameters, the pharmaceutical company can track which channels (email, LinkedIn, website) and content (initial announcement, video ad, registration page) are driving the most (consent) traffic and engagement from HCPs.
- Analysis: Tools like Google Analytics can analyze this data to see which campaigns are most effective. For example, if the adverstising campaign on Linkedin has a higher click-through rate and leads to more webinar registrations, the company might invest more in adverstising for future campaigns.
- Optimization: Based on the insights, your company can optimize its marketing strategies, focusing on the channels and content that resonate most with collecting consent & preferences of HCPs.
Consent tracking is now available in the audittrail and can be linked to all your channels.
